Public meeting set for Roy Blunt Luminary Park Special Use Permit

As part of ongoing work on the Roy Blunt Luminary Park project, the design team will hold a public meeting about a City Plan Commission Special Use Permit case number CD-SUP-2026-0002  related to the proposed performance pavilion planned for the park. Stop by any time to view new renderings and ask questions about the proposed pavilion.

Special Permit Public Meeting Details

  • Date: Thursday, April 23, 2026
  • Time: 5:00-7:00 PM – drop by any time
  • Location: Kansas City Convention Center, 301 W 13th St, #100, Room 1501 A
  • Open house style, stop by any time between 5-7 p.m.

How to Get There

  • To enter the Convention Center building closest to the meeting space, enter at Lobby 1500 at the corner of 14th Street and Wyandotte Street.

  • Paid parking is available via meters along city streets, or at various garages around the convention center, including the Arts District Garage at 287 W. 17th St.

  • Public transportation is available via RideKC Route #11, or via a short walk from the KC Streetcar Power & Light stop.
